Trout Unlimited – Upper Chattahoochee Chapter (UCCTU)

I am the past president of this chapter
and I encourage you to become active with this organization if you are in any
way interested in preserving what is left of the cold water fisheries in this
country. If you happen to live in the Atlanta area, I invite you to join us
for one of our monthly meetings on the 4th Tuesday of the month at Harp's Irish
Pub restaurant in Roswell, GA. Please see the website http://www.ucctu.org for
times, location and scheduled speakers.
Trout Unlimited is a 51-year-old national organization that is made up of numerous
chapters located in 35 states in the US. There are twelve (12) active chapters
in Georgia and five (5) of those are located in the metro Atlanta area (see
http://www.georgiatu.org). The mission of TU is the conservation, protection
and restoration of the trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds throughout
North America. This work is carried out by over 10,000 volunteers that make
up the active chapters along with a paid staff in the national office in Arlington,
Virginia. Please visit the national site at http://www.tu.org.
The activities of the Upper Chattahoochee chapter support the TU mission with educational programs and activities on streams in north Georgia and the Chattahoochee River. Information is posted to the UCCTU website on a regular basis, so please visit the website often to keep up to date on the chapter activities.
